There was a brief clip before the commerical about the upcoming In Memoriam. During this they flashed a picture of Corey Haim that looked EXCATLY like Fred Savage (I've been looking for it online, no luck yet). I was really confused and thought that Fred Savage had died and somehow I didn't know. Thank Godzilla for Google! Google took away all my anxiety before the show came back on. I am happy to report that Fred Savage is alive and well.

I was perusing vintage images from The Zoological Society of London (AKA The London Zoo) which was fine enough... but then I discovered that you can buy prints on their site.

So that's the trouble bit.

I even went so far as to contact the director for access to images not on the site. Hopefully I can reel myself in before this goes too far.

I just found this Chicago based photographer Robert Natkin (1919-1996). There is a sub-section on his son Paul Natkin's website about his work. I've found him credited a few places as Bob Natkin also. I would really love to see more but I'm afraid I've hit the proverbial wall.

"In the 1950′s photographers were allowed to bring cameras into jails and photograph inmates. This was for a story for Ebony and Jet about female heroin addicts."

I had a few questions about my Full House/ Star Wars pairings.

So a very brief overview to understand my thought process.

Joey Gladstone : Chewbacca - the comic relief
Jesse Katsopolis : Han Solo - the rebel stud.
Danny Tanner : Luke Skywalker - the lead that no one cares about.

Stephanie Tanner, seriously the only friend she had was the dog because she was so annoying. I'm sure you can piece the rest together, I have faith in you.

Finally, I was asked why I left out Darth Vader. I didn't really want to be a downer but obviously this is the accurate paring.

i didn't care for the end. i didn't care for the end at all. in fact i'm going to say that it sucked. everyone dies, no shit. what happened to live together, die alone? apparently jack's motto was wrong, so very very wrong. so wrong in fact that they wasted upwards of 6 hours showing everyone re-finding each other so they could all walk through the pearly gates hand in hand.

i don't want to be bitter about it. but i am.

i still didn't find out half of what i wanted to know about the island/dharma/widmore either.

there were a lot of really beautiful shots though.

Since I always assumed that I'd be working with the circus it just seemed natural that I would live in one. The circus didn't pan out... as a matter of fact I applied to be a circus intern and the response letter told me there wasn't any room for me. Well that's fine. I don't need you, circus! I found some nice wagons of my own. Also ones I can go on vacation in, with a horse. Most importantly, no clowns and no elephant poops. So there.

I watched the Woody Allen film "Don't Drink the Water" over the weekend. It depicts a 1960's American family vacationing in Europe accused of being spies. They are trapped for weeks in the American Embassy and hilarity ensues. I loved it so much. It features Woody Allen, Julie Kavner, and Mayim Bialik (aka Blossom), Michael J. Fox & Dom DeLuise. Hands down a winning combo.

Mother's Day is Sunday May 9th.

Luke Skywalker's Insanely Stupid Plan To Rescue Han Solo from Jabba The Hutt

Let us imagine that Luke Skywalker is trying to tell you his plan to rescue Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt.

Luke: "Okay so, first we get Lando Calrissian posing as a guard inside Jabba's Palace."

You: "How do we do that?"

Luke: "We just get him a costume and he--just walks in."

You: "Um, okay, say it's that easy. So then Lando gets Han out of the carbonite and we pick them up and get away?"

Luke: "No. What happens next is that I put my lightsaber in a hidden compartment in R2-D2 and send R2-D2 and C3PO to Jabba the Hutt as gifts."

You: "Wait, why-"

Luke: "Just listen. Next we have Leia pose as a bounty hunter arriving at Jabba's palace with Chewbacca captured. She's going to hand over Chewbacca to Jabba."

You: "Wait, why? Wouldn't that mean we would now have to rescue Han Solo, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C3PO? That just makes it more difficult, right?"

Luke: "Just go with me here. Next, Leia is going to sneak around at night and get Han Solo out of the carbonite, but get captured."

You: "What? Why would we get everyone captured like that?"

Luke: "Now I'll show up, use my Force powers to get in to Jabba's fortress, get past the guards to an audience before Jabba and then use my Jedi mind trick to get Jabba to release everyone. If that doesn't work, then I'll get captured."

You: "Okay, if you can just use your Force powers to get in to the palace and all the way to Jabba, then let's just have you go in right now and get Han out."

Luke: "No, that's stupid. I'm going to get myself captured. Because then you see, we'll be taken to the sarlacc pit and then, when we're on the skiff, I'll get sent out first and then R2-D2 will manage to get to the top of Jabba's sail barge and shoot out my lightsaber, and then with Lando's help, we'll just--rescue everyone and then everything will be fine!"

You: "That is the stupidest plan I've ever heard of."

Luke:"I've thought of everything."

You: "Clearly you didn't."
